Changing Society's View on Disability (TBD)

TBD: Erin Pritchard presents society’s general understanding of disability is that it is a personal tragedy and thus is something that needs fixing. However, the social model of disability, coined by the late disability activist Mike Oliver, claims that disability is a social construct. In other words, disability is something imposed on top of our condition. Instead of looking for cures, the social model turns attention to fixing society. In the case of dwarfism this would mean changing the one size fits all society through the provision of accessible infrastructure.
