Expo Session 1 - Visit our vendors during one of our Expo sessions.  Hear an overview of the all companies, with time available to visit with individual vendors in their virtual "booth" room.  The same vendors will also be on Saturday and Sunday, so you can select which day to visit, or visit more than once to have extra time with the vendors you want to talk with.

KIDS:  Magic Hour with Nate Jester - Featured on America’s Got Talent - Nate will host an interactive magic show followed by teaching a few magic tricks and revealing some secrets. Each attendee should bring 2 rubber bands (hair ties will also work) and 1 deck of cards

Across a Crowded Zoom - A Mystery Cafe Experience - Join us for an online Mystery Cafe experience. We are excited for our LPA members to be part of this unique show that is half comedy, half game, and a whole lot of fun!

The Plot: The suspicious death of a wealthy tycoon calls for an exceptional detective. But that call....went to voicemail. Instead, Detective Roland Hardway is going to need your help to crack the case! But be careful, because someone in your group is a killer!

Show is being performed by The Mystery Café, Twin Cities’ Original Comedy - Whodunnit Dinner Theatre.

Hispanic Affairs Committee - Sabor Latino - ¡Únete a nosotros en una fiesta en la que bailaremos al ritmo de música latina con DJ Hollywood Julio!  Un evento para todas las edades y nacionalidades, en el que disfrutaremos de los ritmos sabrosos del pueblo hispano... salsa, merengue, cumbia y mucho más!

Fútbol Talla Baja - This workshop will be in Spanish.  “Conoce la inspiradora historia de cómo se formó la Copa América para los atletas de fútbol talla baja y cómo puedes participar o crear tu propio equipo y torneo”.  Los oradores incluyen organizadores de equipos de varios países y fundadores originales del torneo Copa América.

KIDS:  Live Pet Show - They’ve photobombed your Zoom classroom, now it’s time to invite your pet to the center screen for the VirtuaLPAooza Live Pet Show.  Hosted by Shorty Rossi, from TLC's Pit Boss. We’ll share our pets and learn interesting information from members of the LP community who have a special place in the world of pets.  **This event requires separate registration if you want to include your pet in the pet show

Workshop - Average Height Siblings Discussion - All average height siblings are invited to join our facilitator, Katharine Cartwright, as she leads discussions around various topics of interest to those with LP siblings. Bring your questions, personal stories to share or strategies you use to be supportive of your LP sibling.  The actual topics discussed in this session will be determined by the attendees.  

Career Expo - The LPA Career Expo is an opportunity for LPA members to hear from businesses that are seeking to recruit employees with disabilities. Join our employers as they provide an overview of their company and hiring needs, and then have the opportunity to visit in their breakout room to discuss further employment opportunities at their company.  Registrants will have the opportunity to upload their resumes to LPA, and we will make them available to participating companies. LPA does not guarantee interviews or employment - this is a unique opportunity for exclusive networking with employers who are seeking to recruit qualified talent from the LPA community.  **Separate registration is required - information about specific employers and instructions for uploading resumes will only be provided to those registered.  To read more about Career Expo and to see which Employers are participating in the event, click HERE.  

BIPOC Affinity Group - Building upon what was started during D2’s Spring Regional, we invite our BIPOC members to share space. This time is only meant for our members that identify as being Black Indigenous People Of Color. A conversation with each other co-hosted by Sofiya Cheyenne and Cara Reedy. We will celebrate each other, be supportive and respectful of each other and make this time whatever we want it to be. The goal - to help cultivate an inclusive culture in LPA, talk about representation, community, awareness, and self-empowerment. **This event requires a separate registration.  

International Roundtable - All members are welcome to join Marie Trottier, LPA International Liaison, as she engages with different dwarfism support organizations from around the world.  Hear about how they have persevered during the global pandemic, supporting individuals and families with dwarfism, and their plans and goals for the coming year.  Learn about their efforts in advocacy, empowerment, and support internationally. 

LPA's Got Virtual Talent - LPA is "Recognizing the Stars in our Community” at this fabulous event that celebrates artists, abilities, and LPA pride!  There are so many amazing artists and an array of talents including marvelous musicians, an awesome accordion act, delightful dancing, polished pianists, and an iconic LPA ice skating debut!

Barty Room - The LBB is back!! Come join us for a virtual musical concert with our Little Big Band & Dwarf Artist Coalition players. Pre-recorded & live performances from exceptional musicians and singers in our community!

Parent Workshop (Ages 5-10) - School is back in session soon! This discussion is for parents navigating the school setting (accommodations, 504s/IEPs, and dwarfism awareness for teachers and students!) and encouraging children to succeed as independently as possible with mobility tools, field trips, and extracurricular activities. Let’s prepare those students to be better than ever for fall!

SWAT: Achieving Well-Being for the LPA Community: According to Dr. David Satcher, “There is no health without mental health.” We happen to agree. Mental health is one of the key initiatives brought up at the most recent LPA board strategic planning session. During this workshop, we will present ideas and the timeline for implementation and also ask for feedback from the attendees. We want to hear about the needs of all members of our community - all ages, ranges of identities, LP, or average height.

Workshop:  What to Know About DJing - Join District 12 Assistant Director Julio Maldonado, aka Hollywood Julio, as he hosts a workshop for all music fans and people interested in professional DJing. For over 10 years Julio has worked for a Los Angeles radio station, working at concerts and special events, DJing at clubs, weddings, and even online on zoom! Learn more about what you need to be a DJ. Get tips and a basic lesson on mixing and beat-matching. All music lovers are welcomed.  

Virtual Scavenger Hunt:   ¡Cosas en Casa! This session is in SPANISH.  ¡Unanse con nosotros para una divertida búsqueda del tesoro virtual que es genial para toda la familia!  Veamos quién puede encontrar la mayor cantidad de tesoros en su casa!

Workshop:  Health and Wellness for LPs - Join Certified Athletic Trainer, Jessica Markbreiter, as she discusses topics of health and wellness for LP's. Learn about fitness accessibility, exercise modifications, flexibility, nutrition, and health during COVID-19.

Maquillando a mí Ser Interior - This session is in SPANISH.  Este taller pretende que, a través del maquillaje aprendas a potencializar la belleza tanto interior como exterior y puedas encontrar una mejor versión de tí mismos.

Meet & Greets - Meet and Greets are an opportunity to join together and share experiences, virtually meet new people, exchange ideas, ask important questions, relax and socialize. We encourage all to attend and connect with other LPA members and make new friends.  This evening, there will be a  Diastrophic Dysplasia, Morquio Syndrome, and Pseudoachondroplasia Meet & Greets. 

KIDS:  Just Go For ItHang out and chat about kicking fear and self-doubt to the curb and empower yourself to “Just Go For It”. Hosted by Connor Gioffreda, Paralympic swimmer, college graduate, and all-around awesome guy, and Ray LeCara, LPA's Programs Director, educator, and mentor.

The Amazing Journey of Adoption - LPA's adoption program has a long history of bringing families together through domestic and international adoptions.  This past year has presented challenges and hardships to everyone, but we are looking forward to travel opportunities opening up again for some incredibly beautiful and deserving children.   We will discuss the procedures, costs, and fundraising strategies for both international and domestic adoption.  If you have adopted before, please join us and share your journey with us!
